Glad for the rest

Since this is the first week then I suppose it should be gentle. Fortunately this has coincided with moving house. I went for one hour long run yesterday and plan on going for the 4 mile run tomorrow, putting me back on schedule.

I need to register for at least one half marathon sometime in March and a friend of mine is probably up for doing it too. I suppose if I sort this out soon then this is a more imminent target to centre the training around.

With regards to the diet, because my flat mate moved out last week, taking the fridge and every piece of cooking instrument and cutlery, I have been eating lots of unhealth fast food. This is going to have to change next week. It's like an accidental version of supersize me.

This is the training plan I'm going to follow

I got it from the Runners World (RW) website http://www.runnersworld.com/article/0,7120,s6-238-244--6946-2-3X5X7-4,00.html

Slow beginnings

I decided that it would be a good idea to have a running diary for the marathon training. So I've just setup this blog to do just that. However I haven't actually starting doing any training yet! I'm moving to Manchester on Friday so hopefully I can get started in anger after that. According to the RunnersWorld website I should be starting the set training program this week.
